Even though music streaming apps like Spotify, Apple Music, and others all have their own recommendation algorithms, if you feel like they aren’t cutting it for you, you should check out Gnoosic. This website houses a search engine for music. It learns and adapts from the users of the website and figures out which artists may be liked by people based on artists they already enjoy. It’s a great way to find new artists to listen to, and it works quite well.
2. Patatap
A lot of times when you’re bored you just want to do stuff that’s pretty much useless, but still a lot of fun. If that sounds like something you’re interested in, Patatap fits the bill perfectly. This website does one thing — plays sounds and animations based on the keys you’re pressing on your computer’s keyboard. So, you can start typing out random lines on your keyboard and Patatap will reward you with an explosion of fun sounds and animations. It sounds a little ridiculous, but it’s very addictive, especially if you enjoy typing.
3. Not Always Right
We’ve all had days at work which were… subpar, to say the least. Well, if you’re working in sales or retail, you probably have a lot of stories about annoying customers and incidents. And Not Always Right is the website where you can read similar stories from other people. Some of the stories on the website are quite hilarious, some are examples of really impressive comebacks, and some are a little horrifying. However, it’s a good collection of stories that prove the customer is not always right.
4. Drench
Browser games can be a lot of fun, and Drench is one browser game that’s sure to help you kill hours in one go. In Drench, you basically get a board full of different colors and you have to ‘drench’ the entire board in one single color. The challenge is that you only get a limited number of turns to finish the board, so you have to think carefully about how you’ll proceed with the objective. It’s a fun way to pass some time on your computer, and once you get the hang of it, it’s quite calming as well… for some strange reason.

Are you interested in Greek mythology? Even if you aren’t, honestly, this website will make you interested. River Styx is a Greek mythological underworld. The eponymously named website takes you through an interactive tour of the river and the underworld, where you will meet a lot of Greek gods and goddesses. The experience is very much like a point and click game where you click on relevant icons and objects to reveal information and more. It’s a fun, and educational, way to spend free time online.

“Noice” — Jake Peralta. The website NOIYS is in no way related to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but it’s every bit as much fun as the show. It’s basically a collection of anonymous notes that stay on the website for 24 hours and then get deleted. You can write your secrets or share your thoughts with the world without ever letting anyone know who you are. The website also allows visitors to reply to other notes, so you can even have entire conversations with people about anything.

Post Secret is a website that hosts anonymous secrets that actual people send in on actual postcards! It has all sorts of secrets that you can check out, from childhood embarrassing moments, to regrets, fears, and everything else. It might not look like it, but you can actually get lost, reading secrets sent in by people from around the world. If you want to share your secrets like this, you can also send in a postcard to the address mentioned on the website.

This one is a fun little time killer. As its name suggests, the website deals with the process of transformation you achieve when you start mixing different things. You start with Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. The goal is to create as many different materials or objects as possible. For example, earth and air will form dust. There are no rules just mix and match your creations to create new ones. You will not even know where your time went.

Vsauce is one of the few websites on the internet which makes learning fun and interesting. Whenever you have a little downtime and looking for ways to pass it, just head over to the website to learn interesting things and concepts such as the infinite money paradox, the game you win by losing, the napkin ring problem, and more. And if none of those things made any sense, you should definitely visit the website.
11. A Good Movie To Watch
We all know how difficult finding a good movie to watch can be. It happens with me all the time and I always end up watching the same few movies over and over again. While you can look for the best Netflix movies online, this website is a boon to people like me. They have a highly curated list of movies which you can select based on genre, mood, or just randomly. The best part about this website is that they highlight movies which for one reason or another could not appease the mass media, but are an excellent watch. I have discovered a lot more movies here than anywhere else.

Continuing on the topic of movies, if you are someone who is overwhelmed by the sheer number of movies in any catalog, and cannot decide what to watch, this one if for you. The website only hosts 30 movies at a time, with a single movie added and removed daily. This gives you a highly curated and small list of the option you can easily choose from. From the day of the upload, a movie remains on the website for 30 days essentially giving you the same time to watch that movie before it is removed. A great little website, a movie lover should surely visit.

If you love the art of storytelling, you are going to love this website. The website houses real life stories told by the people themselves. It also has a podcast which features all the stories told across the world on Moth stages. These are literally stories for your ears. This is one of my favorite sites to visit when I am bored.

One must have a lot of free time on his hand if he replies to every classified ad posted on Craigslist. Well, the website owner seems to have that time and the email exchange is hilarious. You will love it.

This is one of my favourite websites. It basically takes the example of World War 1, where soldiers across frontlines decided to create an unlikely truce on Christmas Day, and exchange gifts in peace. That act of trust in full-scale war inspired this website maker to explore how the world works with trusting and non-trusting people, and how mistakes and miscommunication can affect how we grow into trusting or paranoid humans. It’s an interactive website, which will definitely give you a lot to think about.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen on the web. It shows a representation of galaxy with stars inside it. You can take a tour which starts from the Sun and takes you to the outer edges of the galaxy while teaching you valuable insights in between.

I’ve been using this website since I discovered it and never looked back, which is saying something.
